Load the starter pack

You do not have to author content before anyone can play. The game ships with a starter pack: a small set of items, loot tables, and encounters that make a complete loop out of the box.

Load it

Use the load-starter-pack action in the app. If you enable the game with an empty catalog, it also seeds the starter pack on first run, so there is always something to explore.

The starter pack is a starting point, not a fixed menu. Everything in it is ordinary content you can edit, extend, or remove once you know what you want. The Override track walks through authoring your own, and you can mix your content with the starter pack or replace it entirely.

For now, loading it is enough to try the game as a player, which is the next step.
